I’m sick, OR I think I might be getting sick; should I cancel my massage?
If you are sick with something that can be contracted by someone else in the clinic (especially COVID-19), we would appreciate it if you stayed at home and worked on feeling better. Call us at 778-470-0089 to reschedule your appointment for when you are feeling better.
Are you registered?
Yes, we are all Registered Massage Therapists. Registered status is only achieved after passing the standard provincial board exams. Continuing Education is a requirement to maintaining registered status. Registered therapists also have strict practice bylaws and guidelines and are subject to the Health Professions Act.
Will my extended health plan cover my massage? If so, how much?
Every plan is different, but the vast majority cover massage therapy. How much depends on each individuals plan. It may either be a specific amount per visit that they will cover, or a percentage of the fee. Most plans also have a yearly cap.
Do you direct bill insurance companies?
Yes, we can bill directly to most extended health plans, and you can pay for the portion that is not covered. We accept debit, direct deposit, Visa and Mastercard.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
A Registered Massage Therapist is a primary healthcare provider in BC and anyone may visit an RMT of their choice. A doctor’s referral is not required to visit an RMT, although some insurance companies may require this.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy at Fusion Health Clinic is that we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment time. Late cancellations and missed appointments are expected to be charged a fee.
What type of massage do you do?
RMTs can work with a variety of patient populations in the treatment of illness, injury rehabilitation and disability. Massage therapy can be beneficial to a wide variety of conditions. Each time you come in for a massage, your therapist will design an individually tailored treatment to suit your body and your needs.
Is massage therapy safe in pregnancy?
Yes, massage therapy is safe in all stages of pregnancy, though techniques and positioning are modified.
What do I wear for my massage?
During your massage, you are covered with a sheet and maybe a blanket for warmth, and only the area currently being massage is undraped. Most people undress to their underwear, but it is totally up to your comfort level on how undressed you are.

30 minutes – $75.00
45 minutes – $95.00
60 minutes – $120.00
90 minutes – $180.00
GST is included in our prices. We accept debit, direct deposit, Visa and Mastercard. (Please note that not all practitioners offer all of the above treatment lengths.)
Do you have a receptionist?
We currently do not have a receptionist. You can reach us by leaving a phone message at 778-470-0089 or by email at fusionhealthclinic@shaw.ca. We will return your message as soon as we can. Returning patients are welcome to book their appointments online. The front door will be locked during treatments, we ask that you arrive at your appointment time or only 5 minutes before your appointment. If you have come early and the door is locked – please do not knock, we are just finishing up a treatment and will be out shortly.
